Miles, Sears & Eanni attorney Christopher C. Watters recently reached a $310,000.00 settlement in the personal injury case of Tania Gire and Douglas Gire vs. Everardo Elias Gonzalez, Jr., filed in Alameda County.
Mrs. Gire was struck by the defendant driver’s vehicle while riding a bicycle in a marked crosswalk on a green traffic signal. She sustained a left humerus fracture, which required surgical intervention.
The defendant disputed liability and claimed that he had the green light. The passenger in defendant’s vehicle supported the defendant’s version of the event.
The case ultimately settled for the policy limits.
