Douglas L. Gordon was born and raised in Florence, South Carolina. He was admitted to the California State Bar and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California in 1993. He is also admitted to the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California.
Mr. Gordon received his B.A. Degree, cum laude, from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 1983. He received an M.A. Degree in Linguistics from the University of South Carolina in 1988, and his J.D. Degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1992.
Mr. Gordon is a member of the Fresno County Bar Association, the State Bar of California, and the Consumer Attorneys of California. Since 2008 he has been active on the Board of the San Joaquin Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, acting as Ninth Circuit Representative for 3 years, Co-Chair of the Eastern District Conference 2009-2011, and currently Vice-President of the Board. He has been retained by the State Bar of California as an expert witness on personal injury litigation in attorney disciplinary proceedings.
Mr. Gordon has received an AV rating from the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings. Mr. Gordon has been selected as a Northern California Super Lawyer every year since 2008.
